I was down right slap-happy.

Sometimes I get a little giddy.

A little slap happy and excited about an idea.

I was feeling that way yesterday.

There are a couple of things that had me hyped.

One: my teacher teammate gave me a brochure template for my syllabus.

Now my syllabus looks much cooler.

And then I got all silly about how cool it will be to have parents sign it electronically.

And how students can tape it into their interactive notebooks.

And how well it will work for open house.

Two: I met with my Nano-partner.

We did a ton of brainstorming, planning, and thinking.

I was down right slap-happy when we discovered exactly how easy writeabout.com is to use and how many resources the site provides.

Plus, one of my new co-teachers got to join us and see my madness firsthand.

She is really calm, which balances me nicely.

She is also really knowledgeable.

Plus, she didn't freak out when we told her about NaNoWriMo.

Instead, she took notes and got on board.

I was really impressed.

Then she told me it would be fine to ditch the second teacher desk in my room in favor of a foam couch because she rarely sits down.

A woman after my own heart.

After school, I got a balance ball at Walmart on sale for ten dollars.

I stayed silly the rest of the night!

It is entirely possible that I am really just a huge pia to my coworkers...at least when I get too pumped, but that's ok.

My energy keeps me moving forward even when I am positively pretrified.

And that is a good thing.
